Helen has been practicing law in South Florida for almost 30 years. Prior to joining Wites & Rogers, her practice focused primarily on the defense of personal injury and wrongful death claims, attorney malpractice, and defense of property damage claims. In her years of practice, Helen has also defended insurance companies in suits for improper claims handling, also known as bad faith. Her experience has provided her with valuable insight into how insurance companies evaluate and defend claims. Helen now applies that knowledge and experience to help injured people and their families in claims against corporations and insurance companies.
Helen was born in Brooklyn, New York, but has called South Florida home since 1977. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Florida Atlantic University and her Juris Doctor cum laude from Nova Southeastern University. While at NSU, Helen was a staff member and then Articles Editor of the Nova Law Review. She also served as an Honor Court prosecutor and research assistant to Professor Steve Friedland.
Helen is a member of the Broward County Bar Association as well as the Palm Beach County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution, Appellate Practice and Trial Lawyers sections of the Florida Bar.
In her spare time, Helen enjoys spending time with her husband, Greg, their family and their dogs, Winston and Scout. She also enjoys the beach, reading, gardening, cooking and paddle boarding.
