The American Heart Association, received a $100,000 donation from Wites & Rogers, along with their co-counsel, Robbins Geller Rudman t Dowd LLP. The donation was part of a class action settlement obtained by the two law firms after 8 years of litigation in state and federal trial and appeals courts.
The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency to help reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Deborah Phelan, Director of Charitable Estate Planning for the American Heart Association, accepted the $100,000 check for the organization. She gratefully explained that a “$100,000 donation does a long way and does a great deal of good. It is a significant gift and we are deeply grateful.”
